It's a pretty massive number, the biggest of all the players we've covered in the Team Prospectus series to date, but Darroll Powe, Brian Boyle, Derek Boogaard, Patrick Kaleta, Krys Barch have been in the ballpark of that figure. Just remember that stats like Hits are very subjective, so you'd have to correct for biases at various rinks if you're not just comparing players on the same team for a certain season. And at the end of the day--except for wearing down an opponent throughout the course of a playoff series--Hits are pretty inconsequential to winning hockey games.
